The Bay Area Modeler's Club was formed by a group of engine and machinery modeling enthusiasts. The purpose of the club is to constitute a forum where members can exchange ideas, share modeling techniques, and display their creations. Alan Ingersoll receiving an award for "Outstanding Metalworking Craftsman of the Year" at the 1998 NAMES show in Michigan. A plaque and a check for $ 1000.00 was presented to Alan. |

Alan also won 2nd place in the aircraft division. Here's a photo of Alan's engine, a 1/6 scale model of the Curtiss V-12 aircraft engine. The engine is accurately made with ignition, lube pump, and water pump. Alan also made the propeller. |

Robert Kradjian won best in show with his Twin Cam Four. The picture shows good workmanship with a high polish. Not shown is the display stand he used at the show, a polished brass and aluminum work of art. As shown in the photo the engine is quite small with about 1/2" bore and stroke. |
