The Oklahoma Antique Tractor Association, Inc. (O.A.T.A.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and education America's agriculture past.
The O.A.T.A. was officially organized in February of 1992 with 26 members and was called Oklahoma's Green & Yellow Two Cylinder Club, catering to people with interest in antique John Deere tractors. As the club slowly grew through the years and with the majority of its members owning or a least with interests in other makes along with John Deeres it was decided to open membership to all different makes of antique tractors and farm machinery. Even with this decision it was hard to attract perspective new members because of the name of the club. People still thought that it was strictly for John Deere enthusiasts. So in 1996 it was voted on by the membership to change the name to Oklahoma Antique Tractor Assoc., Inc.
From its meager start in 1992 with the 26 charter members, of which more than half are still actively involved, club membership has grown to approximately 170 members representing 110 families. . General membership meetings are held on the second Sat. of the even numbered months. Meeting places vary, but at the present we are meeting at "Furrs" Cafeteria, The Farm Shopping Center, 51st and Sheridan, Tulsa OK. The club publishes a newsletter, to members, bi-monthly, in the same month as the membership meetings. The club has its own web site at www.oata116.com. You can contact them at oatatractortracks@yahoo.com.
