Our membership has grown from about 10 to over 80 families in this short time span. We are young and growing and looking for more families who enjoy the outdoor activities associated with antique farm equipment.
In May of 1999 we held our first annual show which had an overwhelming turn out. We had over 100 tractors on display along with over 30 engines and various equipment.
Our show is held at the Hill College Confederate Reunion Grounds which is a very old park that once belonged to the Daughters of the Confederacy. They wanted the park to be a place where families could come and enjoy the company of one another. That holds true today with our show. The show grounds have hundreds of mature pecan trees with lots of shade and a running spring with a gazebo spring house. It is a wonderful place to enjoy our rich heritage. With the warm weather here in Texas, the trees provide a welcome relief from the heat. The park has running water and electrical hook ups for campers who wish to stay overnight with their equipment.
Our meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Brandon Community Center in Brandon, TX which is located east of Hillsboro on Hwy 22. We have a pot luck dinner at every meeting starting at 7:00 and then commence with the meeting material. We encourage everyone to come on out and join us!
