Notice to the branches.


At the present time our new insurance agent is still negotiating with the insurance company regarding our policy. As of this date we have not been quoted an exact premium cost but do anticipate a substantial increase. We have been told we can expect anywhere from 50% to 100%.


Since we do not know at this time and we understand the branches are anxious to be able to conduct business, as well as be ready to enjoy our hobby as early as April 15th, the board of directors had a conference call Sunday Feb 16th to discuss all of this and has agreed on a cost of $6.50 per member. If the cost comes in above $6.50, EDGE&TA will make up the difference, if the cost comes in below $6.50, the branches will be refunded.


We regret this short notice as well as this increase and fully understand the impact it will have on you. Because of this we are asking you to return a notice of acceptance to the EDGE&TA secretary asap with the hope that you wish to remain in our EDGE&TA organization. As soon as Ruth receives this information from you she will mail your 2004 stickers and national buttons. She will not mail these supplies until she has heard from an officer in your branch.
