Recap of the board of Directors Meeting August 14, 1999

Patches.

1. Curtis and Ruth have quotes from companies to make new patches. The directors voted that one patch would be sent to each branch when buttons and cards are sent.

2. It was voted on that 500 would be initially ordered.

Hall of Fame.

1. It was decided that the number of inductees would remain at two.

2. It was decided the best of two candidates submitted would be chosen, regardless of their geographic location.

3. There will be no post-humously awards given.

4. Motion was made and tabled that being an EDGE&TA member would be a pre-requisite.

5. The judges would be chosen by Dale Fry, Hall of Fame chairman and would remain anonymous.

Insurance.

1. Curtis passed out a letter from Scottsdale Insurance for all Directors to take home and read and to get back to him with comments.

2. New insurance summary was passed out to all directors.

Policy and Procedure Manuals.

1. Policy and procedure manuals were put together by Ruth Warnock under the direction of Curtis Cook and given to all directors. One will be sent to Floyd Schmall, Ken Green and Eldon Fogleman. Ruth is to make up an expense sheet that will be added to the manual.

Buttons for 2000

1. Curtis asked for input from the directors for the buttons to be made for the year 2000. He would like something within 3 weeks.

Pens/Key chains

1. EDGE&TA logo pens and key chains were passed out at the National meeting. It was agreed that this is a great way to advertise EDGE&TA. Curtis will order more to be passed out at future Regional and National shows.

Election of Officers.

1.Howard made the motion that Curtis Cook remain as president, Dick Wilson remain as vice president and Ruth Warnock remain as secretary/treasurer. Motion carried.

Regional Shows.

1.Rotation of regional shows was discussed at great length. It was decided it would be put on the ballot for next year and let the branches vote on how they want the rotation to be done.

Menno Kliewer

1.It was decided unanimously by the directors present that Menno Kliewer would be made Director Emeritus for his many years of faithful service to our organization. Ruth will make a certificate and send it to him.
